About Us...
 Just 40 years ago, officials were in the planning stage of building a dam. This impoundment would have stilled the Current River and its Springs forever...instead The National Park Service created America's First River National Park, the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, flowing wild and free for 134 miles.
With our neighbors being the Riverways (the largest park in Missouri) and Pioneer Forest (the largest private land holding in Missouri) the recreation possibilities are endless. Canoeing some of the country's finest rivers, miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, numerous caves to explore, bird watching and star gazing. Drive or hike through "The Virgin Pine Forest", where some of the oldest and largest Short Leaf Pines in Missouri live.
We adopted a section of Historic Highway 19 to help preserve the beauty of "The Avenue of the Giants".
